How to Play
Players alternate placing one token on any empty square that isn't currently claimed by the opponent.
Triggering a Claim
When your move completes a continuous line of 3 or more of your tokens (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal):
- That token line is removed from the board.
- Claim territory extends outward along that same line in both directions - until it hits the board edge or an opponent's token.
- Claimed squares are marked in your colour. Your claims can overwrite the opponent's, but tokens are never removed by claiming.
Scoring & Victory
- Score = number of squares currently claimed by you.
- The game ends at the turn limit (40 turns by default).
- Highest score wins. Equal scores are a draw.
Quick Reference
- X / your colour - your placed token
- O / opponent colour - opponent's token
- Coloured background - claimed territory
- You cannot place on a square claimed by the opponent - only on empty or your own claimed squares.
I played this game in the POPUCOM minigames section and couldn't find what it was based on. If you know the original game, let me know!
